Details for Learn To Ice Skate Lessons

Just like running, walking and swimming, ice skating is a low -impact exercises that offers many health benefits. It not only improves your cardiovascular health, but also provides positive effects on your overall health. Please note: Two registrations required (Park District and FVIA). In addition to the Park District registration form, visit to set up an account, pay the $20 annual Basic Skills Registration fee (Valid July 1-June 30) and sign waiver before first class. Please contact the skating director at if you have any questions. Mittens or gloves and bike helmet are recommended. Skate rental is $3 per class, you may bring your own skates. This class is for young beginners that have never skated before. This fun atmosphere, using games and ice-safe toys to help teach basic skills and include proper falling, getting up, marching, gliding and forward swizzles. Ice Skating is a low impact exercise that provides positive effects on overall health.
