If you would like to enroll in a Park District program and the registrant is in need of a reasonable accommodation throughout the duration of the program, please proceed with the registration process and send an email to inclusion@genevaparks.com

The Geneva Park District works in collaboration with Fox Valley Special Recreation Association (FVSRA) to provide additional training to park district staff and when necessary, an inclusion companion to assist the registrant within the program. In order to provide the best customer service, please notify the park district at least two weeks prior to the start of the program. For requests received after that time frame, the best efforts will be made to accommodate the registrant.

Sweat 4 Survival - 4610900

Come join the Geneva Park District’s Fitness Coordinator and Breast Cancer Survivor, Amy Sheehan, for a day of celebration, fitness, and socializing. This event is geared towards breast cancer survivors and the family and friends who have helped them through the hard times, and are ready to celebrate their survivalship! Participants will receive a dry-fit event t-shirt, participate in an uplifting 45-minute workout, and socialize with refreshments afterwards. Register by September 21st in order to guarantee to get your t-shirt by event time. The workout will take place from 9-9:45am, then refreshments and social hour from 9:45-10:30am. People in active cancer treatment are not encouraged to participate. Come help us celebrate!

Exercising With Parkinson's - 4610906

In this specially designed Parkinson’s and Movement Disorder class, clients are encouraged to amplify their movements in several specific movement patterns to improve strength, endurance, balance, respiration, mobility/gait and trunk rotation. Exercises may be performed seated or standing. Agility gait exercises are also often included in the program to promote more high level balance training and reduce risk of falls. Our certified fitness instructors have participated in training from Northwestern Medicine to provide a safe and appropriate workout to participants. Participants may bring someone to assist them if they have significant balance issues.
