Special Assistance / Accommodations:

If you would like to enroll in a Park District program and the registrant is in need of a reasonable accommodation throughout the duration of the program, please proceed with the registration process and send an email to inclusion@genevaparks.com

The Geneva Park District works in collaboration with Fox Valley Special Recreation Association (FVSRA) to provide additional training to park district staff and when necessary, an inclusion companion to assist the registrant within the program. In order to provide the best customer service, please notify the park district at least two weeks prior to the start of the program. For requests received after that time frame, the best efforts will be made to accommodate the registrant.

Hits & Mitts - 2610908

This is a high-energy boxing class focused on learning the fundamentals of boxing. Train like Rocky, performing footwork drills, various punching techniques, bob and weaves, etc. Whether you are a beginner or looking to cross-train for a new challenge, you will experience an empowering workout that will make you want to come back for more! Please note: Handwraps are required and can be purchased from GPD or at most sporting goods stores.

Yoga Tune Up® - 2610934

MetCon - 2610950

Metabolic Conditioning (MetCon) is a fast-paced, interval based class that conditions the entire body with strength and cardio drills with little rest between.  Utilizing TRX, slam balls, weights, battle ropes, etc. MetCon jump starts your metabolism in a way that cardio training alone cannot.  You will leave stronger and leaner with a metabolism that will burn at an elevated level up to 36 hours after your work out ends. Take your body to the next level.

Circuit Training Power Hour - 3610905

Challenge your mind and body in this high intensity, no-impact strength training circuit class using a variety of equipment such as sliding discs, bands, kettlebells, stability balls, Bosus and weights, and yoga straps for stretching. Exercising With Parkinson's - 3610906

In this specially designed Parkinson’s and Movement Disorder class, clients are encouraged to amplify their movements in several specific movement patterns to improve strength, endurance, balance, respiration, mobility/gait and trunk rotation. Exercises may be performed seated or standing. Agility gait exercises are also often included in the program to promote more high level balance training and reduce risk of falls. Our certified fitness instructors have participated in training from Northwestern Medicine to provide a safe and appropriate workout to participants. Participants may bring someone to assist them if they have significant balance issues.
